Re-integration of single mothers by learning traditional know-how.
Solidarité Féminine is a Moroccan NGO established in 1985 to help promote women’s and children’s rights and to prevent the children of single mothers being abandoned.
Solidarité Féminine offers these mothers professional training including apprenticeships in two social micro-enterprises: a traditional Moroccan pastry unit and a venue for care / massage.
The Accor Foundation* supported the NGO to help them increasing their reception capacity and allow 75 underprivileged single mothers to have access to professional training programs resulting in activities that generate income.* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
It was an amazing experience – personally and professionally. Seeing what those single mothers have to face and made me realize how brave they are and how hard they have to work to get by.
