« But en Or Center »: support young people in their training thanks to the creation of a soccer pitch in a sensitive neighborhood.
Founded in 1998, Sport dans la Ville -sport in the city- is the main association promoting integration through sport in France. In all, 22 sports centers have been set up in sensitive neighborhoods in the Rhône-Alpes region and the Greater Paris area, where the association fosters the social and professional integration of 3,000 young people in difficulty.
In 2013, Sport dans la Ville set up its first sports center in Paris, in the 19th arrondissement. The creation of this “But en Or” (“Golden Goal”) soccer pitch in the Curial-Tanger district allows Sport dans la Ville to deploy social and professional insertion actions for some 200 youngsters, thus making a dynamic contribution to this particularly sensitive neighborhood.
The Accor Foundation* supported the creation of this “But en Or Center”.
* In 2013, the Accor Foundation became Solidarity Accor.
« Accor had already worked with the association in the Rhône-Alpes region (when I started to work at Accor). I wanted to introduce young people to the construction industry (a sector often unknown to them that demands resources and can provide career opportunities). This naturally led me to develop this project. »
